nadinoo

Although I rarely blog about fashion as such,
I do love clothes.
For the past month I have been desperate to buy some new things.

Desperate, I tell you.

I have traipsed around shops over and over looking carefully for little gems, but to no avail.

Nothing, nada.

Boring.

Then, last night I was looking around the world wide web and made quite an amazing discovery.

Why has no one ever told me about

"A unique London based clothing label, where each style is carefully designed and handmade by British designer Nadia Izruna. Celebrating the lady from era’s gone by, Nadinoo invites timeless silhouettes and detailing to create it’s vintage felt collections. Designs include boastful bows, flirtatious frills and beautiful bell shapes in sumptuous silks and cottons from Liberty of London prints."

Every single item of the AW10 collection
makes my heart soar
and my senses tingle

and honestly, I have been craving that feeling for so, so long

see?
Told you

I love the flashes of colour but the simple lines
Nothing too fussy and yet full of character

I LOVE

Very excited about exploring their blog too,
it looks like it may be full to the brim with gems.

Thank you Nadinoo for restoring my faith in fashion
and warming my lagging heart again.

we were some pair,
and moi,
at Alexandra Palace

mostly we were getting lost, being wide eyed
and buying too many balls of wool

wow was there a lot of wool about
woolen airplanes ... woolen telephones

I was so inspired by the embroidery, the fearless creativity
that people shared

and I made a wonderful discovery in Boukje Voet ...

I think seeing her work has changed my life somehow

I really do mean that

each book is deconstructed and then remade

I love paper

And I suppose I should share my purchases too:
13
yes thirteen
balls of delicious wool

10 balls of black 'Sublime Angora Merino'
2 balls of gorgeous shiny gold 'Lang Yarns'
and 1 ball of grey 'Purl Alpana'

and 2 patterns from Purl Alpaca:

Alexis Gloves

and Bjelle Top

and look! this is what I'll be doing once I've finished knitting my top ...

yeah, I know! Mad!

a little ditty what I wrote, sang to the tune of Amy's Rehab ...

"I tried to live my life
but just heard no, no, no"

When I saw this photo, I just thought,
"yes, that's exactly how I feel"

Like my life is in a pretty cage and I am just peering in.

There's no freedom to let it fly.

Each bar, yet another 'no'.

LOL Love

I had been watching This is England 86, maybe that had something to do with it ...

The next day I found myself wearing a short sleeved checked shirt, a black waistcoat, skinny jeans and my new flat black fringed rodeo urban outfitters boots

I realised that my Lol love had gone to a deeper wardrobe level

She sure is a beauty that Vicky McClure, ain't she?
