their prints are so well selected
and always make me laugh or sigh
although I don't know a lot about typography, I am always interested in the fonts people use and just how beautiful they are

(oh and what great festive gift ideas too)

here a few of my personal favourites:

Oliver Peoples

I was over at the fantastic Loafing Odysseys
and found this amazing video.

I am seriously not joking when I say I was only thinking today that I think I may need glasses

These beauties make that a very exciting prospect indeed ...

Of course having Zooey model them is quite a good selling point too

fever ray love

I was recently introduced to Fever Ray via K.I.D Collective
and have been in love ever since

their videos are so sinister
but so very, very beautiful and inspiring
they make me have a million creative ideas every time I watch them

these two songs are my favourites
I thought I shouldn't keep them all to myself

because sometimes you have to step outside the person you've been and remember the person you were meant to be.
the person you wanted to be.
the person you are.

over at K.I.D Collective
I was introduced to the wonderful site,

ok, so it's basically just another online clothes, shoes and accessories shop,
but it does feel different
it's not pretentious, the models are beautiful but not frightening and the style is one I can fully relate to.
Casual but with a bit of an edge.

My favourite part of the site is 'shop by look'
 - a collection of outfits made up from shop items
even though I may not necessarily be able to afford the items featured,
I have been inspired to team items from my own wardrobe and be a bit more adventurous

a few of my favourites:

oh santa please may I have this red A.P.C button shoulder flannel dress ?

sam winston

creatively, sometimes I feel very lost
I forget what I love, what inspires me
I trawl blogs and see beauty everywhere but am overwhelmed
and now very little touches my soul

Yesterday I discovered an artist whose touch was gentle but took my breath away
thank you Sam Winston

... a series of collages based on Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet

Instead of presenting the play in its chronological order however – the text has been divided into the three emotional states –
Passion, Rage, and Indifference.

Every line said in ‘passion’ forms the first image,
‘rage’ the second.
The third 'indifference' is still to come.

The above collages are made from cutting out every bit of letter of these separated texts.

Made Up True Story :

"Winston’s experiments came from looking at the structures of different types of literature: from storybooks to bus timetables: “The way you navigate a timetable is very different to the way you read a short story” he comments. “I wanted to take these different types of visual navigation and introduce them to each other: a timetable re-ordering all the words from beauty and the beast, or a newspaper report on Snow White.” By imposing the visual rules of one style of writing to a different system of organizing language, Winston has created a visually arresting and verbally intriguing piece.”

further work on his fantastic site

and, hooray Henry,
Sam has an exhibition this December!

(1st - 22nd December, Kaleid Editions, Redchurch St, E2 7DJ)

see you there

I love Farrow and Ball, don't you?

I have painted my bedroom, craft-room and front door
all in their beautiful colours.

What is it about the paint?
It's got depth and flavour and character.
It's expensive.
It's a bit of a treat.

I could never afford their wallpaper range
(78 of your pounds a roll),
but if I could, I would be browsing the Peony range
